AP ?Victims of government-backed Native American boarding schools are expected to share their experiences Sunday as U.S. officials make a final stop in Montana on their yearlong tour to confront the institutions that regularly abused students to assimilate them into white society.Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, a member of Laguna Pueblo in New Mexico, has prioritized examining the trauma cau stanley cupe sed by the schools. THORNDIKE, Maine ?A Waldo County couple suffered serious injuries Saturday when their motorcycle collided with a pickup truck on Unity Road in Thorndi stanley deutschland ke.Walter Thompson, 38, of stanley cup Knox, was riding the motorcycle with his wife, Cassandra Thompson, 30, as his passenger. They were behind a pickup truck operated by Meaghan White, 18, of Newburgh, which stopped abruptly and started to turn around in a driveway, according to Trooper Sarah Ferland of the Maine State Police. As she stopped to turn, they collided, Ferland said Monday.Cassandra Thompson, whose most severe injury was head trauma, was taken from the scene by LifeFlight helicopter to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. She was listed in critical condition Monday afternoon, according to a hospital employee. Her husband suffered serious leg injuries in the accident and was taken by ambulance to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where he was listed in fair condition Monday.Neither of the Thompsons was wearing a helmet, the trooper said.White, the driver of the pickup truck, was not injured but was taken from the scene to be treated for shock.
