I think everything said was very reasonable. But, what about this? suppose you were to create a awesome title? I ain't suggesting your information isn't good., however what if you added a title that grabbed a person's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda vanilla. You should peek at Yahoo's home page and note how they create post headlines to grab viewers to open the links. You might try adding a video or a pic or two to grab people excited about what you've got to say. Just my opinion, it might bring your posts a little bit more interesting.
