I think that what you published was actually very reasonable. However, think on this, suppose you were to create a awesome title? I mean, I don't wish to tell you how to run your website, but what if you added a post title to maybe get a person's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda vanilla. You should glance at Yahoo's front page and note how they write post headlines to get viewers to click. You might add a related video or a pic or two to get readers interested about everything've written. Just my opinion, it could make your posts a little livelier.
