By Dillon ThomasClick here for updates on this story IDAHO SPRINGS, Colorado KCNC Idaho Springs Police have agreed to a multimillion-dollar settlement with a 75-year-old man who was wrongfully tasered by police in May of 2021. Michael Clark will reportedly receive a record-breaking payout.Clark has agreed to settle his claim for $7 million. Clark was unexpectedly and wrongfully shot with a taser on May 30, 2021 by Idaho Springs Police termo stanley Officer Nicholas Hanning. The taser deployment caused a chain reaction of medical issues with Clark including a heart attack, stroke and several seizures. Aside from his physical health, Clark also experienced financial difficulties as a result of the response, many of which were associated with extended hospital stays. Idaho Springs Police were dispatched to Clark apartment complex after his neighbor reported that he had assaulted her, something that was never supported through later investigations. He admitted to answering the officer knock on the door with a small sword in his hand because he didn ;t know who was trying to speak with him so late at night. Officers are seen in body camera footage demanding that Clark drop the sword, which he is seen c stanley quencher omplying with. However, without warning, moments later Clark is sh stanley cup ot with a taser. He collapsed to the ground. Former officer Hanning was later given probation for violating Clark civil rights. LOS ANGELES stanley es AP ?Fred Savage has been dropped as an executive producer and director of the rebooted The Wonder Years amid allegations of inappropriate conduct, the television shows production company has confirmed. Recently, we were made aware of allegations of inappropriate conduct by Fred Savage, and as is policy, an investigation was launched. Upon its completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment as an executive producer and director of The Wonder Years, a statement Saturday from 20th Television said.20th Television did not immediately provide any additional details. Savage, 45, was a child star when he appeared in the original series, which ran on ABC from 1988-93 and followed a suburban white family in the late 1960s and early 1970s. A new version of the show, which features Don Cheadle as the narrator, premiered last fall. The new series revolves around a Black family living in Montgomery, Alabama, in the late 1960s.
